GENDER CONFUSION

It is apparent that the secular media and the United Nations are the significant forces behind the push for the LGBT rights legislation in our country. This incredible upsurge of drumming up support for the cause of the so called persons of fluid sexual orientation comprising the LGBT community has been extremely highlighted by the media and strongly lobbied by the UN itself, where 96 member-states of the United Nations have sponsored the declaration in support of LGBT rights in the General Assembly, in the UNHRC, or in both. The Philippines is listed as a signatory among the sponsoring nations.

The advance of the gay agenda advocating the cultural acceptance and normalization of non-heterosexual orientation and relationship is gaining momentum.

I have this feeling that despite the enormous efforts of Christian groups and other opposing interests to fight the SOGIE law, it will pass. And sad to say the passage of this law will pave the way for redefining the concept of marriage and legalize same sex unions. It will radicalize the law on family relations and uproot the family as a basic social institution from its Christian moral bearings, and legalize homosexuality not only as an alternative lifestyle, but a legally acceptable practice with all of its perversity. I also believe this law will marginalize the Christians and deprive them of their freedom to teach, to admonish, to spread the Gospel and to witness lest they be charged, under pain of penalty, of violating the rights of this particular group of persons. The Christian community would be legally restrained to make a Biblical response to confront sin and present the truth of Scripture.

It does not make logical sense to form a special class of people based purely on sexual orientation and then equate it to a race or ethnic group’s push for human or civil rights.

Romantic attractions and sexual behavior often have moral (or immoral) qualities. Society places way too much emphasis on sex, and gay activists are trying to convince everyone that you can have it your way, their way or any way.

One of the critically destructive forces behind this gay agenda is the idea that everything is malleable to accommodate changes in society. But no matter what the changing vagaries of fickle public opinion, God’s principles of right and wrong do not change (see Malachi 3:6; Hebrews 13:8).
